What is Home Inspection?
A home inspection is a service I provide that examines the systems and components of a house or structure to provide information to the client on its status. In other words I tell people if the house is safe and in working order.
My name is Gordon Jones, owner of G I JONES HOME INSPECTION. I am a licensed Professional Real Estate Inspector with the State of Texas. The licensing agency is the Texas Real Estate Commission and my license number is 23299. I am a member of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors. Feel free to check on my license status by clicking here or my InterNACHI status by clicking here.
I am a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan. Having served in the Marine Corps as an infantry rifleman. In the Marines we are taught to ensure our safety in a variety of different environments. As a home inspector safety is my number one concern, my safety and the safety of the home. My goal is for you to feel safe and secure in your future house and will do that to the best of my ability. Another thing I learned in the Marine Corps was how to inspect. Marines inspect everything: uniforms, rifles, barracks rooms, vehicles, you name it we had an inspection for it.
Both of my parents are retired Air Force, and I was born on Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas. Spending most of my youth in Hawai’i, but still managing to live all over the country. I have lived in just about every imaginable type of dwelling. From Humvees and mud huts overseas to high rise apartments in Hawaii; and everything in between. The only thing I haven’t lived in is a tree house.
I hope these few words about myself have helped assure you of my ability to perform a quality inspection, and I would very much like to be your home inspector.
